We proudly support the National Inclusion Project
We proudly support the National Inclusion Project
The National Inclusion Project (formerly The Bubel Aiken Foundation) primary goal is to help ensure that all children with developmental disabilities are totally immersed in all life has to offer.
Clay Aiken, from American Idol is the co-founder along with Diane Bubel. While Clay was pursuing a career in Special Education he worked with Diane's son, Mike (age 13), who had been diagnosed with autism. While working with Mike, they realized Mike was being turned away from all the normal everyday child activities because of his disability.
The Foundation creates awareness and provides much needed funding to qualified programs serving families in need of funds to assist individuals in life skills, one-to-one social skills, and more importantly, to programs that provide social interaction with non-disabled peers. They provide summer camps and work with local YMCA's to make their goal of inclusion a reality.
